Possibly EGR valve?

About 3 months ago I got an engine code for the EGR valve ( P0404) to be replaced and at the same time my stabilitrak and traction control on the car turned off. I have replaced the EGR valve and the traction control and stabilitrak have turned on again but I have gotten the code 2 more times and have replaced the EGR valve since it’s still under warranty but I am stumped as to what could the problem be. I’m pretty positive it can’t be that every EGR valve that I am buying is defective. Anyone have a problem like this happen to them before??

assuming your EGR is electrically controlled as opposed to vacuum controlled none of the suggested repairs mentions replacing the valve.

So would it just be that there is some carbon built up on it?

you can try cleaning the egr and passage but did you read the link I provided?
