power door locks

I just bought a 1997 Grand Am SE and the door locks only work to lock the doors and won't unlock. If I turn the key to off, the doors will unlock. I have read where a white wire runs from the lock switches and is known for corrosion. to save me tearing the car apart, where would I find the wiring for the door locks?

sounds like you may be talking about the master switch mounted on the drivers door panel, check the switch wiring

This should be part of the wiring harness to the back door locks. A few youtube videos show the wiring in the rocker panels, but they must be for a grand prix as I don't have an opening in the rocker panel on the grand am
