power steering pump

i have a 1999 grand am se and every now and then the steering gets real hard to turn you shut of car and turn it back on and the steering is ok is the power steering pump going bad fliud is good i power steering pump

could be the pump or the steering rack. You have to check the pressure output of the pump.

i change the power steering pump and it worked
