• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "1995 Trans Am" isn't going to indicate to anybody that you need help. However, "Need help with my 1995 Trans Am" will. Be as descriptive as you can. Please use common sense... NOTES
1. This Carburetor was totally disassembled, chemically cleaned, washed in hot soapy water and completely blown out with high pressure air.
2. It was then bead blasted to remove remaining corrosion, washed in hot soapy water and completely blown out with high pressure air.
3. Carb body, air horn, and other parts replated in Sodmium Dichromate. Throttle body is natural aluminum finish. Other misc. parts zinc plated. Throttle plates, Choke Plate and Secondary Air Valves reinstalled with new screws and red Loctite.
4. Please understand that a carburetor is a complex part and WILL need adjustments and fine tuningonce it is installed on your vehicle (It is not a bolt on and go item). You need to adjust the idle mixture with the mixture screws and possibly the air bleed screw on top of the air horn. There is a little triangular clip that goes over the air bleed screw And MAY have to be adjusted. Original factory setting were used for initial set up. Also the fast idle screw will need to be adjusted.
*Part numbers were meant to be a 7 digit number beginning with a “70” during this time period. Often, especially in the years 1968 and 1969 the “70” are omitted, and a 5 digit part number will result. When confronted with the 5 digit number, simply concatenate the “70” to the front of the 5 digit number again making a seven digit number.
