I hate it when you turn the high beams on, the lows go off. I like it how my other cars have both beams on, it really helps with visibility. I've heard of this quad beam mod, was wondering if any of you done it on montana.
I have never heard of this, but I made it so my fog lights would stay on when the high beams are on. From the factory they turn off when the high's come on, Now brighter bulbs!
Trailboy:Yes please explain, I am always looking for more light !! One of my goals is if I find the time is to turn the fog lights into HID'S . Any thoughts ? I would guess you could find a plug and play set to fit right into those holes rather than trying to rebuild the oem's.
Hey Steelcity, Thanks for asking. from the factory the headlights and fog lights share the same ground, that is why the fog lights turn off when the high beams are on.
I took the relay from the fuse bock under the hood and attached a wire to PIN 85, which I had to bend off to the side so that it doesn't make contact with the holding block, that is the ground for the driving light, then ran it to the ground lug beside the battery. Took about 10min to do. Then reinstall and check and see if all lights stay on when your high beams are on.
I am gonna order some 37.5 watt fog light bulbs only from www.gorecon.com/index.php
They also have 4600K regular head lamp bulbs that I am gonna try. I drive in the open desert a lot from Phoenix to Vegas. Let me know if this info helps.
