Theres a dead spot somewhere along the line of my wiring for the Radiator fan. I jumped the fan it works, but idk where the line is bad or where the relay is.

Here's the schematic for my '84;

My relay is under hood on driver side.

It's a typical relay, just like the fuel pump and AC relays in the engine compartment.

I looked and i followed the line to a little black box (guessing relay) Which was dead, there seems to be quite a few dead lines in the front. And now suddenly my Lights wont go down, they turn on and off but wont drop.

I'll try to help with diagnosis. Remove the relay from the connector; you should have 12v at the red wire [terminal G]; turn ignition to 'on', you should have 12v at the brn/wht wire [C], those are the only places you'll have voltage. Replace the relay; with ignition 'on', ground dk grn/wht wire [E] and fan should run low speed; ground grn/blk wire [D] and fan should run high speed. If all this works then this part of the system is ok. Note the fan will only come on if the engine temp gets too high or if AC is on.
If you don't have 12v @ [C] the fuse is blown. If the grounding tests don't work, remove the relay and put a jumper wire between [G] and or [G] and [A]; this should cause low or high fan speed. If it does then the relay is bad.
Let us knoe how things work out.

Alright well I cant seem to figure out which of the 3 are is my fan relay. There are 2 towards the windshield near the AC condenser (assuming its one of them). And then i have one towards the front of the car on passanger side. I believe thats something for headlight motors though, because my motors won't work now that its unhooked but it wont get any power.

The fan relay is near the windshield and has a long narrow connector like in the top left of the page I posted. It has 6 wires to it.

Get this figured out then we'll deal with the headlights.

I have 2 of these right next to each other, thats where I am at a lost. I'm a computer tech not a Car Relay tech.

I keep hearing its infront by drivers headlight? maybe yours is diffrent due to being 84.

May be, but I think the one by the headlight deals with the headlight circuits. GM generally used the same colored wires across different lines for the same functions. See if you can find a set of wires to a relay that resemble those in my post #2.

Or, you might try to just follow the wires from the fan to its relay, If they go into a larger bundle, look for the same colors to come out of the bundle.

Went yesterday installed new relay in multiple locations. I have 2 Relays in the front by headlight both seem related to that or have more than 4 prongs. And I have 2 relays similar to new one in front by glass by AC condenser. Tried both one was for a vent fan the other seemed to do nothing.

When you say a relay did nothing, what do you mean? How can you tell?

I hooked it to the 2 location, the one vent fan which it ran and the other one which i believe is the Radiator fan, but when it was in it didnt seem to work, I had it heated to about 240 so it should have been spinning.

When you are trying to trouble shoot auto electrical problems it is best to do it with things like relays removed from their sockets so you can ensure that the wiring is good. The service manual in my last post will be helpful in guiding you through your quest.
