radio change?

Hello all,

2 quick questions about stock radios.

1). Is it possible to replace a stock radio from a 2006 Torrent with another identical stock radio from say a later model G6? I like the style and layout of the 2006 radio but don't like the lack of a 3.5 aux input. I know later model G6's have the same type of layout (and also the completely red unit illumination) but with the aux input. Are these completely incompatible systems?

2). My second option (I hope) would be to find another stock radio from a 2007-2009 Torrent that has the 3.5 aux input. Is it possible to swap out the radios from different years?

Yup, you may have to get a different connector to make them work, as they keep adding to what the stereo sees and handles. Sometimes it's easier just to go and get an after market stereo and using an adapter to match it to your car. I've used Scoche many times for this.
