radio will not turn off

I have a 2000 Sunfire that when the car is turned off, the radio continues to run and has to be manually shut off.

Any ideas as to what may be the issue. I suspect something electrical but not my strong suit.

If you open the drivers side door the radio continues to play? If so you have an issue with the RAP system, see page 2-15.

I had the same problem with my '04 Grand Am, but it didn't happen all the time. I found that the door switch was sticking. The switch is integrated into the door latch, and I sprayed some lube into it, and it has been fine since.
