I have a 99 Grand am SE 1 3.4 V6 My check engine light keeps coming on. I have taken it to the dealer and all they could tell me is that it is pulling a random misfire code. I have changed the following- plugs to ac Delco, wires, coil pack, module under the coil pack, main computer, injectors, mass airflow and mass airflow plug. AT low RPM I can feel the car misfire and high RPM or driveling there is no misfire and the check engine light only comes on when the car idles for a long period of time. Also when you take off from a stop the car hesitates slightly. I have had the car in the shop for about 3 weeks and they can not figure out what is going on with the car. I need help dose anyone have any ideas? IF you do please email me with any thoughts at sduly79@cox.net. Thanks

Hi we have exactly the same problem with our Sunfire like your Grand Am. I had my car checked today and the technicians told me that it has misfire code but there seemed to be no problem. So they reset the main computer (brain) of the car and check engine light turned off. But after a few hours it began lighting again. I either don't know what to do. I'll bring it to the service again. If I can learn how to fix it I'll give information to you ASAP.
By the way if you get any info please let me know.
See you..
