I am New to this Forum. Hope someone can Help me out. I have a 2009 Pontiac Torrent and the Rear Lift Gate won't open. I checked All Fuses and they are OK.I took out the Relay Actuator and applied voltage using external battery and the relay is working. I was wondering how to check the Switch? Can I take it out and check continuity with a meter? Is there a Wiring Diagram for this Switch? Any Help would be Much Appreciated.

Thank You for the Link. Lots of information. I am a bit confused though. There is a Liftgate Switch and a Liftgate Latch mentioned. I would think that the Liftgate Latch would be the handle located under licence plate. So where would I find the Liftgate Switch?
Thanks for the Link. It was the Faulty Switch. It was Corroded. I purchased a New Switch at the Dealer and all works fine now. Thanks Again for all your help.
