Received my new Mac Mini today

I have been a PC user since DOS based PCs then like many of us have loyally used Microsoft operating systems since day one.

For the first time ever I decided to visit the dark side and get a Mac mini, just to see what all the hype is about.

I also wanted a Computer to replace my Antec Skelton custom PC I built.

I currently have the Mini attached to my Home theater setup, which is a basic 3d Sony surround system and 55 inch Sony 3D tv.

It is too early to tell if I will use this setup more than my Laptop yet so far I think I like it.

Does anyone else have experience with Mac operating systems ?

sorry have never gone down that route. I work in IT and we all have Microsoft based laptops but the guy in charge does use a MAC.

How did you choose the mini? I wasn't even aware of it until I stumpled on it on an ebay listing then I saw they are still made.

I use a Macbook Air laptop and I had always been windows os and yes dos too.

Can you post the specs about the computer?

I got the 2.6 the middle grade mini.

I should say that my Dad in New York out of the blue purchased this for me.

He also got with it the keyboard and mouse listed near the bottom of the Amazon page.

I was ready to order it yet my Dad beat me to the punch.

Perhaps he was tired of my PC crashing all the time on Skype LOL

The one negative I have to say about it so far is trying to get the surround sound working is kicking my ass.
