Recirculation Vents

The air vents in my 2007 torrent stink. I tried using that spray chemical, but I was unable to find the recirculation vent to do it properly. Does anybody know where they are? Thanks.

I would check if the drain for the AC evaporator core is blocked thus causing mildew. The drain would be on the passenger side roughly in the area of the foot well. As far as the intake for fresh air you should see it if you open the hood and look in the area of the wiper blades when they are parked. Turning the fan motor on high may assist you with locating the intake.

the best way to introduce the chemical is through the AC drain that melsg5 is mentioning this is discussed in the last link I provided

The recirc inlet should be on the passenger side under the dash.

I'm either blind or stupid because I couldn't find the drain or the recirc vents. I may have to buy a Haynes manual.

just turn your ac on let it run until you see water dripping from under the car, open the hood. on the fire wall closer to the passenger side near the middle you should find the drain dripping away, use a flash light to make spotting it easier.

the water dripping under the car should give you a clue where to start looking it may be hidden slightly from the firewall insulation mat.
