reconditioned 2 barrel rochester businesses

i have a 1970 firebird 350 v8 with a 2 barrel rochester carburetor. can anyone recommend the best place to get a reconditioned carb. i just finished restoring the inside and new paint
and need to tackle this before i can get it back on the road. also if anyone has suggestions on other carb options short of a new manifold id appreciate the help.

as long as you dont want to change the intake there is no worthwhile alternative to what you already have.

carb rebuild

i am reluctant to try a rebuild since i never did one. also i guess all the initial adjustments
and settings that would need to be done would be hard to do since since i dont have all the needed tools. been looking at all the ads on the internet for the rebuilt ones that supposedly come adjusted and setup on a actual enjines. i was hoping to find a company that someone tried and had a good experience with. ive been restoring the car inside and out myself and it looks great so i want to get this right.

you dont need special tools to adjust a carburetor. A good investment might be a copy of the 1970 Factory Shop manual which gives all the details on rebuilding your carburetor. Even a rebuilt one will require you to adjust the idle speed and mixture screws on your engine.
