Red Switch

I recently purchased a 1984 Fiero. There is a red switch to the right of the steering wheel that I can not figure out what it does. Any ideas?

If you Google 1984 Fiero dash image you will not find that switch. Ask whomever you purchased it from.

The hazard lights are on the steering column. Do have owners manual. It shows two optional features that could be located there. (Rear defrost and automatic rear compartment release) It does not operate either one of those

Did you ask the prior owner?

Solved it. It controlled an anti theft system that is now disconnected. It was installed in 1985.
