My 2005 Grand prix is displaying (reduced engine power) on the computer screen, The car will start fine and idle a lil funny but when the gas pedal is pressed nothing happens, any one have or had or know what this is??????

Your car has to be hooked to an analyzer. The computer is sensing an abnormal strain on the drivetrain. Did you look at the explanation in your owners manual?

jucal,
This warning message appears when the vehicle’s engine power is reduced. This happens when driving conditions, such as climbing a steep hill, make the transaxle overwork in a gear that may cause damage to the vehicle’s engine or transaxle. Reduced engine power can affect the vehicle’s ability to accelerate. I would strongly suggest that you contact your local Certified Pontiac Service Center and have them look into this for you. If you need assistance locating a certified service center you can follow the following link and enter your zip code. Please keep me posted on this issue. If you have any other questions, comments or concerns please feel free to contact me anytime.
Thank you,
