Remote start

I noticed on my old lady's 2006 Svt 3.5L Montana that it has a Viper remote start module installed under the dash. She did not know it had one either. There is a receiver antenna & hood pin with it. There is no FOB/remote that we have with it. Does anyone know if a universal one from say Walmart or a autoparts store could be programmed to use with it. It gets pretty cold here sometimes. Thx

have you looked at the Viper site? There are dozens of different systems and many different remotes that they sell. I would think to start with you have to know which Viper system you have in order to determine if a non-Viper remote will work.

Try contacting Viper or a authorized Viper installer. first. get the model number and any other information you can off the unit.
