Hello, I’m new to this forum. Hoping to find some answers. I own a 1969 Pontiac Catalina, and I believe it needs a new heater core. The person I bought it off of looped the heater core lines into themselves, I’m assuming it was leaking and he didn’t want to fix it. Anyone have any info on the removal and installation procedure? I’m sure I could rip it apart myself but I’d rather have a running start if someone has done it before and maybe has info or pictures? Thanks!

1970 manual says, drain radiator, disconnect hoses at firewall, remove nuts on firewall, remove defroster duct retaining screw from case and remove case, remove Bowden cables and electrical connections.

Thank you for the help! I will be out in the garage today!

Be gentle with the cables at this age the plastic is brittle especially where the screw holes are.
