remove torrent rear passenger hub assembly - help!!

My wife's 2008 torrent has bad rear passenger wheel bearing. I removed the wheel, rotor, and after removing the four retaining bolts the hub came off attached to the "backing plate." I can't get the hub assembly out of that back plate which is now off the car itself. I've PB Blasted it like crazy, used heat, threaded the bolts back through that back plate and tried to hammer the hub out with a socket over the bolts. I rented a slide hammer and flange, but that doesn't really help separate the assembly from that plate with the brake hardware on it. Do I have to disconnect the emergency brake to get that hub assembly out? Please tell me I'm stupid and overlooking something simple! Any advice welcome as I'm currently stranded with my wife's car and a bunch of people depending / waiting on me. Thanks!!!

Please post a few pictures of what your looking at, and we will do what we can.

From what I remember the once you unbolt the four bolts from the hub it should just fall away from the backing plate.

If it is severely rusted your doing everything you can.

What are you using for a heat source? if your not using a real oxygen acetylene torch set with a rose bud tip you may not be getting the backing plate hot enough fast enough.

If you heat the backing plate up too slowly both the hub and the plate will expand not giving you the result you are looking for.

To make sure we both are not over looking or forgetting something post pictures.

this is a suggestion i found
On the hub bearing assembly, once you have the 4 retaining bolts off, the hub bearing assembly should just pull out. If it doesnt, you can either rent a slide hammer with hub puller extension to slide hammer it off, or thread the 4 retaining bolts about 1/3 of the way, place a socket over them and hit with a hammer to force it out.

My guess is someone over tightened the four hub bolts giving you less clearance to get the hub out.
