Removing A/C unit

I have recently started to unscrew my whole A/C unit, but cannot find a cover for the firewall, or an A/C delete cover to fit the firewall. Has anybody tried this? I really do not want the A/C unit in the engine compartment, but don't want to strip it unless I have something to cover up the firewall. Much appreciated.
