Alrighty then I got a new lock for my driver side door because someone decided to break in and have a look around, I got the panel off and I can't figure out how to remove the cylinder itself and place in a new one, if someone can explain this to me or direct me to a site it would be of great help and save me money on a mechanic

what exactly is the problem? can you see the cylinder? typically they are held on with a horseshoe shaped clip which you push on to release the cylinder from the exterior door panel after removing the linkage rod.
