Removing the original fabric cover

I'm removing and cleaning the original fabric covers (stains, animal hair) but for the passenger seat there is a lever on the back of it for people in the back seat to push to make the seat move. However, it is in the way to take the fabric off. How do I remove the end piece of the lever? 2005 Sunfire. https://m.imgur.com/gallery/2OPO2Z5

A little internal crack by I generally got it, the part in the hole shows a raised groove that sinches in it from the lever to hold it in place, a bit of twisted and pulling pretty hard got it off.
