Hello everyone, I'd like to turn my 1978 pontiac trans am with 400 engine, convert the mechanical cooling fan into an electronic cooling fan with temperature switch that turns the cooling fan on and off, which set i can best buy, I'm looking for a set that Completely complete, I like to hear something from someone, thank you, with greeting Paul

Hi Paul

I have a 79 TATA with a 403 olds and last year I did exactly what you are talking about I installed 2 electric fans from Summit Racing . What kind of engine to you have ?
For a large engine you need a Minimumof 3000 CFM’s but I’d go with more then that , ask Summit .

I how this helps you.

I was told for the larger engines it should be a min 3000 CFM’s
but it just depends on the age of the motor and how big it is. What size motor do you have in your car?

All your work looks nice I wish you the best of luck. What temperature are your fans set up to turn at ?

They have to go on at 100 degrees(212 Fahrenheit?) I'm from the Netherlands, so we use the celcius unit here, but it's going to take me a while to test it because my exhaust manifolds are still there that need to be repaired, but I hope it's going to be okay
