Replaced fuel filter..now wont start??

hi everyone, looking for any suggestions to get me my 2001 gt 2.4 going again, I removed the fuel filter and replaced with new as I have done before, only this time after replaceing it the car only turns over and does not fire, is this an air lock in the system? when the key is turned on I do here the fuel pump kick in for a sec, everything was fine before, looking for any suggestions at all, thank you in advance

did you try pressing in the schrader valve on the fuel rail after turning the key to run?

There is no schrader valve on the 2.4 l engine,I disconnected fuel line into filter and with key on you can here pump for aprox. 4 sec priming up, but nothing coming out of fuel line.....turns out it was the fuel pump, really threw me off because I could here it activating but it wasnt pumping, removed tank and replaced the fuel pump, as fast as I hit the key the car fired right up!!

I had the same problem with a 2.4 fuel pump after changing a filter, ended up scraping the car wasn't worth fixing lol.
