Replacement Block

Hi,

I need to get a replacement block for my 73 Trans am.

It was matching numbers but beyond repair so ideally want something as close to the original as possible.

Details of original are

1973 455
485428 casting
J192 date code

Any ideas on the best places/people to try to get a block ?

www.car-part.com lists 2 1973 455 engines but one is locked up, also a 74.

They are not Firebird engines.

I have a 73 Standard bore bare block on the shelf, I would have to check the date code

dug out the block it is a late cast block than yours
