replacing ignition coil

I may need to replace my ignition coils. Going to try my plugs and wires first. But all the pictures I see have under the engine. Mine seem to be on the top right side. Also those cheap screws are hard to get out. Can I remove the "plate" that hold them both and get the screws to that way?

Sorry. It is a 2001 2.2L.

That base plate holds coolant don't take it off unless u want to deal wit the mess and if u do u will need a new gasket. the secondary plate that holds the actual coil can come off. Hope it helps
