We own a 2000 Montana. I am curious as to how to replace the dash lights since it looks as if they are LED that are soldered into position. Any thoughts would be great. The ones that are out are the ones over the RPM Gauge. Any tips would be great.

PS: Not sure where you are from but I saw this ad on craigslist ,apparently this guy tears apart GM clusters and fixes the gauges and backlight bulbs maybe you can find someone closer on craigslist or maybe ship to him ? Keep us posted cause I have a couple burned out on my heater/ac controls cluster. Good luck.

You can do it yourself, but it`s a time consuming job. I`m not sure if they are LEDs in the Montana/Ventures. If so, it`s an easier fix I would think as the board would be already setup for LEDS. If they are not LEDs, you can use either a #2162 bulb, or LEDs BUT you`ll have to use resistors on the LEDs. Here`s a place to look for more info:

Have fun! I`ve done a few Impalas myself.
