Replce front speakers on a 98 sunfire GT

Help-I need instructions on how to replace the front speakers on my 98 Sunfire GT. It think the inner door has to be removed first before you can remove the actual speakers, but I can't get the manual window crank off to complete the removal. Any help would be appreciated!

There is a tool to remove the clip holding the crank on. Try an auto parts store,

No need for a tool. All it is there will be an clip on the knob itself there are a few ways to remove it one is take a thin long flat head screw driver push in on the panel near the know and locate the clip and pop it off it is open on one end, another way it take a piece of thick sting and do a flossing motion on the open end of the clip it will pop right off. I have done both on my 98 Sunfire and my 2002 S10. Once you do it once its pie.

use a clip tool. to pop it off. then take the bolts out of the door panel. unscrew the corner triangle piece on the door. then after all the bolts r out. where your door handle is there is a small oval like piece. pop that off. then there r clips holding the panel on. just pull on it and it will come out. then 4 bolts for the speaker and it is done. I had to replace mine twice since i blew them with my system
