reverse lights - 2001 montana

I need help with the reverse lights on my new to me 01 Montana.

I checked the fuses ( the one under the hood is fine, pulled it and checked continuity, and to make sure there was no build up on it. I looked in the panel behind the passenger door, and there isn't one marked, but none are blown, pulled them all to check.)

I ckecked the bulbs and they are fine. I switched them around, and they lit in other positions.

Now i don't have a clue. My next thought is a switch when its put into reverse, but i wouldn't even begin to know how to diagnois that problem.

reverse switch is usually part of the neutral safety switch, try a search for the location of neutral safety
