I need new speakers in my 2005 Sunfire, and I'm pretty sure the entire wiring needs to be redone because the right side is all kinds of messed up. The passenger front speaker's bass is busted, the back passenger speaker doesn't even work, and the antenna (also on passenger side) is not connected to the stereo. So whoever installed the stereo before I owned it did a pretty bad job at it. Problem is, I have never done anything like this, so I have no idea what kind of speakers or wire to get, and I have no idea how to install and wire all of them. And I also plan on getting a pair of 10" subs and an amp, so that's more wiring I need to know. Does anyone have a good guide or youtube video for a Sunfire (or in general if it works) about wiring up all of this in good detail? Going through taking off the door paneling, going under the carpet, etc.?
p.s. However he wired it, he somehow made it to where the radio will turn on and stay on regardless of a key being in the ignition. The horn stopped working not long after I got it, and the cigarette lighter keeps blowing, so I'm assuming he's mixed the wiring for both of those into this somehow too. So information on the wiring of those devices would also be appreciated.
