Hey all, new(er) user here, but I have had this car for almost 10years now, and just now able to dump some money into the car (graduated college and in the stable jobs now)
Anyway, I have a 1970 GTO convertible. I am shopping for some new rims now, and I really want to acheive that aggressive stance look. The car has been dropped with some lowering springs already. I am trying to decide between the 17x9 Rally rims, or some 18x9 Torq Thrust 2s. I am going to provide links to the flicker account for some pictures of the car so you all know what I am working with color wise. The car is a dark blue (stock color, taken 2 shades darker, with black primer) What does everyone think?
Also, does anyone know what the max tire width I can put on the car? The picture with the Torq 2 are 225/45/18 up front (may rub, didnt take the car out for a spin) and out back is 285/40/18 with no issues. I would like to put the max out back for some traction.
The reason I am considering the Rally 2s is because they are MUCH cheaper, around 800 bucks total for lugs and tires and that 800 can go a long ways on some other parts!
