Rough Shifting in '00 Sunfire GT

Hey guys

In my 2000 Pontiac Sunfire GT 2.4L (automatic), this doesn't happen all the time, but sometimes when shifting from 1st to 2nd it's a really rough shift. It's not a clean gliding shift like going from 2nd to 3rd or 3rd to 4th. It will stop accelerating, make a clunk while shifting, then continue accelerating. It's not a huge issue and the clunk is not very big and it only lasts for around a second.

Any ideas what it could be?
Any remedies??????

Could be a shift solenoid issue, how many miles since you changed the fluid and filter? Did you check the fluid level?

Just got the car not to long ago. Haven't touched anything with the shifting
