Seatbelt question

Hi Everyone,

I am a new member and have a question that I would like to ask. I have a 1985 Trans AM and am looking for the female end of the driver's side seat belt latch. This is the part of the seat belt that is bolted to the floor of the car and locks the harness portion of the belt around the driver. I have located a similar but somewhat shorter part from a 1987 Trans Am. Does anyone know if that part from the '87 car is compatible with the '85 car.

thats hard to answer since we dont know what you have versus what you are considering to buy. This link seems to indicate the year shouldnt make a difference.

That is the part that I am looking to buy but in gray. Haven't been able to find it. I am looking for only 1 (the driver's side) and it can be either new or used.
Any other thoughts.
