security light then wont start

[2001 grand am]

I have a 2001 grand am secutiry light comes on, then wont start I turned it to the start position for 10 min. then started I dont want this to continue,can I dissable passlock so this wont continue? or has there been a recall I don't know about? please help!

i have the same problem in a 97 sunfire the antitheft comes on and i cant start the car it all sarted when i changed the moter and did not change the computer under the dash with the one in the other car ...
