settings 1,2 and 3 on heater dont work

another question lol. my heater dont work on 1,2, and 3 and was wondering what is it that i need to replace to fix the prob? it gets way to hot on 4 and 5 then i shut off the heat and gets to cold lol. thanks for any help

assuming you mean the fan doesnt work on 1,2,3, sounds like the blower motor resistor needs to be replaced

Yeah, thats what i mean, the blower dont work on settings 1, 2 and 3. thanks, someone was trying to sell me a blower motor itself and saying thats my prob. didnt think so, cause why would it work still right? Now, how do i go about finding this resistor? what does it look like so i could take it off of one at the scrap yard.

they are relatively cheap,I would buy a new one and wouldn't take a chance on a used one. as far as location it is located under the glove box,you will have to lay on your back to remove it ,it is up against the fire wall. you can y tube it and they show many short clips on "how to " it is a 5 min job. good luck keep us posted

ok guys, thanks for the advice. well its just about summer lol and dont need the part now lol but i will get it just not in a rush now. i didnt have to turn my heat on for two days.
