05' Montaina rear air shocks are gone.

Someone installed non-air monroe shocks which bottom out from any pebble in the road.

Person brought me monroe air shocks which I will try but I am not sure if these will work or not. This van was made later in 05' and seems to have more 06' parts on it which makes it hard finding parts at the local parts store.

Most of the stores said there are no other cross-over shocks that can be purchased besides those air monroes.

Anyone else replace the rear air shocks with something other than OEM?

OEM is 180 per shock... from dealer.

Thanks

NAPA has a listing for air shocks without the automatic leveling system

do a search here on this forum, one if not 2 of the members used off brand as a replacement and had no complaints but it might of been a different year.

I did a search a while back and the springs are the same for std suspension and air leveler type. So if it is bottoming out you may have weak springs. A regular shock does not support any weight, just stops rebound.
