The Maxima, primarily for reliability reasons. Yes, the Aztek would have more room for someone with a family, but the extra room doesn't make a difference if it's broken down on the side of the road or in the shop. I have a buddy who works as a mechanic for a Pontiac-Buick-GMC dealer (now just Buick and GMC) and he has worked on A LOT of Azteks.
