ok i decided im going to make my sbc 400 a 406 wondering if u guys or ladies could help me pick a combo for the top end and bottom im talkn carb to pan i still wanna run pump gas it could b premium and a little freeway driving not much but still want to b able to ride without reving on the freeway but light to light i wanna b sick as it can b its driving me crazy trying to decide figured id ask the forum to c what ppl came up wit thanks n advance o i have a 87 TA

I think what you end up doing is based upon your budget. You want to run a compression ratio of no more than 10:1 assuming 93 octane gas. You can throw on aluminum heads, a roller cam, different rods, different crank, etc. You have to decide which of these few options I mentioned you can afford and there are many more options out there.

thanks ill prolly try and keep my budget around 2-3k as far as parts ill b doing all the labor so that helps
