You have to remove the speedometer fitting from the drivers side of the transaxle case, above the driveaxle. Make sure engine is off and car is level.
Unplug the speedometer sensor harness from the speedometer fitting. Remove the retaining bolt. Pull out the fitting the fluid level should be between l-h
This is from my Haynes manual. I have a 2m4 but should be the same procedure as it's the same tranny, I believe.
