Hello. Name's Zach, and I own a '96 Grand Am SE (2-door, car is non-running atm, in pieces XD)
A couple months back, my mom bought a used '99 Grand Am SE (2 door), and for the longest time I've wanted nothing to do with it. But, I've noticed how many kids in high school and college drive these kinds of cars, and being interested in doing restoration/custom car jobs I'm thinking about modifying one to sell, maybe keep for myself.
I'm looking specifically at a '99 Grand Am GT (2-door), but I'm curious about a couple things.
Is there any other V6 engines that are compatible to fit in the vehicle, without too much modding?
I've read that Grand Ams came stock with a 5-speed manual trans after 2000. What models came with it, and how rare are they to find?
Are there any kinds of aftermarket guages, and mounts? And I don't mean just bolting a guage on top of the dash.
