Hey does anyone know at what speed the car should shift from 1st to 2nd gear when you are wide open from a stop in D?

it depends on rear axle ratio, tire size, condition of the transmission, etc. A ball park number is 60. It shifts based upon internal oil pressures and possibly a governor which in turn are dependant upon the condition of the transmission. A car with a 4:11 rear will shift sooner than a 3:08 and a car with a smaller diameter tire will shift sooner than one with a larger diameter tire with respect to the vehicle speed.

Last night it was somewhere between 65 and 70 before it shifted. Everything I was reading was that was a little fast for the car, that's why I asked.
