Hi, I'm a newbie on this forum. I have a 1963 Catalina Safari wagon I'm restoring and would like to replace the aftermarket steering wheel with a factory one. I have seen on eBay some GM steering wheels of the correct year but the seller is unsure if it's for a Chevy or other GM car. It looks like it could be a very close match to the Pontiac original.

So here's the question; if it's a Chevy will it fit on the factory column that I do have? Any help with this question or where to locate a factory original would be appreciated. Thank you.

you have to measure the shaft diameter and the spline count. In addition you have to make sure the horn contact is compatible. I would think there are enough images of 63 Catalina interiors to determine if the wheel is correct appearance wise.
