stereo sticking

I have a 01 Grand am and the stereo is sticking, as in when I stick a CD in sometimes the cd wont come out. It still pushes the cd out but it doesnt come all the way out to the point i can grab it and pull it out, anyone know whats up??

OEM CD player or aftermarket unit? Chances are the tracks and runners need lubricating at the least. The biggest problem with this is that you'll have to take the unit out, and take the cover off to do it. Graphite lube or similar should do it, make sure whatever you use doesn't 'melt' or get onto the laser.

Of course, this could be a good time for upgrading the sounds in your car, too... Good luck.

Fixed?

Did you ever find a fix for this? I have the same problem, and it keeps trying to eject the CD even when the car is off, which is making the battery die repeatedly. Thanks for any help!
