The after market 8 track player that was installed in the 70's finally crapped out. The current set up has the 8-track and FM in one unit and the am radio is separate below. Ive found original radios, or that look original at least but im not sure what the set up is. Any one have a picture of a stock set up?

In 1972 from the factory the dash had an AM, AM/FM or AM/FM stereo radio. The 8 track from the factory was supported by a bracket under the dash.

my current set up is an after market 8 track on top, the heater controls, then an am radio. what was in the top before?

Top slot is vent, middle is heater controls, bottom is radio

Found out it was only a vent if the car came with ac. Since mine didn't it was just a panel that said pontiac.
