Hey, thanks for looking...I am having a huge amount of trouble with replacing the brake pads on my 2001 Pontiac Sunfire. I had everything up untill I realized that I needed to back the caliper pins out more in order to get the caliper back on the rotor. When I went to back them out a little more, I discovered that both ways I turned made the pin go in more, untill I finally ened up with the picture and situation shown below. What I need to know is, there any thing I can do to get these pins out or will I need to buy a new caliper?

I kno, my phones not lettin me post it. I know exactly how to change the pads though, thats not the problem. Basically when tryin to bring the bolts out more to get the caliper back on the rotor, instead of coming out, no matter which way I turn, I cant get them to come out they only continue to go in. I can't even get to the bolt on top anymore as its so far into the caliper. I tried to see if I could get the bottom one to back out andd it started doing the same thing so I stopped. Basically the top bolt is to the point to where it would be if the caliper was in place, except the calipers not in place on the rotor. Basically whether I turn it lefty loosie or righty tighty, the bolt wont come out, it only goes in.

Ive never seen a bolt do this, its so weird, turning both ways makes the bolt go in.

To the best of my knowledge the bolt rides in a unthreaded sleeve cannt you push the sleeve and bolt outward?

You just need to spray the bolts and sleeves with a little penetrating oil and tap them back with a small hammer, preferably brass hammer. The sleeves stick in the rubber vibration dampener.
