Sunfire 2003 broken hose

I was changing the battery on my car when I noticed one of my hose is unplugged. Must have broken due to the cold we've had this winter or something. What is it? Can I drive it to a mechanic shop in this condition?

Here's a picture of the hose. (Dont have one of the actual broken hose)

Looks like the fresh air ventilation hose for the crankcase. Can you duct tape the hose till you replace it?

Buy a chunck of oil resistant line and replace it yourself.
