Sunfire Project car

So as the title says i have a Sunfire I wanted to beef up and wanted to make it a project to see just how much horsepower this little J-Body will push. Anyone wanna chime in with some ideas of good mods/upgrades that will yield decent gains?

typically a cold air intake and cat back exhaust unless you have a very high budget and want to tear into the engine.

at the moment im going to leave the engine be, but one of my bearings was possibly spun so im going to need to tear her open anyway, what can i replace while im in there?

need to know the year and engine, 2.2, 2.4?
