So I put my brand new fiero in reverse to pull out of my driveway and as soon as i took my foot of the brake and touched the gas, the driver side rear axle kinda of broke and there was some really thick looking fluid on the ground and 2 little pieces of clip - looking metal.

I've rebuilt 350s, and 4.3s, and done everything but axle/suspension work. I've always had trucks, never worked on a car.

The body is sitting on the driver side rear tire. I really dunno what happened.
Would like some input on this please!

actually after I got it high up on jackstands I found out that the entire axle just broke.

the thick fluid was axle grease :P

infact this almost happened to me. when i neglected to put my axles in to push my car a few feet. lets just say the wheel bearings suffered a little.

yeah that happened to my wheel bearing too, when i pushed it from my driveway to garage. gotta get a new one. also when the car hit the ground it bent the rear driver side a frame. awesome, junkyard part

thanks for the help though, gents.
