Tempature Gauge issue

Hello,

Recently i got in my fiero to notice that the temp gauge wasn't working properly. it was off to the left kinda of out of sight. as i drove down the road it slowly migrated to the middle... upside down.


whats causing this? is it just a bad sensor? dont tell me i need a new cluster

No, the sensor isn't bad. The gauge needle is loose on the gauge shaft.
It is caused by a wiring error from the factory. You need to correct the wiring as described here: fierosails.com/tempgage.html
Then repair the gauge (in the same article)
It's not hard to do at all.
