...possible causes? We have checked the fuses but are now at a loss of what to do now. The car won't blow out any air, hot or cold.
 
Check the fuse of the blower fan. If it looks good then the blower burned out. If it did then that part is expensive, new though. Get a used one from a 98 to an 03 at any junk yard.
 
Its the fan itself. They go out all the time. Usually when around 130,000 miles or so. sometimes sooner sometime not. They go out more often if you live in the country or down a dirt road because of dust coming inside and wearing out the motor. However, just change the fan itself and everything will be a ok. You can test the fan by finding the wiring and by passing the current directly to it, to see if it turns on. I would do this to ensure my theory before purchasing a new one. If you can find the wiring, take it out, then try wiring it to work. If it doesn't work, then we found the problem.
