Thinking about future engine swap

Hello, I have a 2005 grand am gt that I am considering turning into a fun project car in the next few years. One of my main goals would be to upgrade the engine. Does anyone have any suggestions for an engine swap I could look into? I'm looking for more power and torque. I would like the car to be closer in power to a 2005-2006 GTO but I'm not sure if that's possible. Thanks!

you wont find anything that will fit and produce that kind of power. With a lot of work people have instailled 3.8 SC engines, but the 3.4/3.5 is an easier swap.
